Let it rain
Let it rain,
let it rain...
let the mud feel the pain
of my wet wings
and all the beautiful things
that are going to fall
all over the wall
like a raindrop:
thousands of tears
pouring down
on this ghost town
for so many years,
like falling stars
born to shine
near a roadside shrine.
Just a void left behind
that I will never find;
nor can I repair
with a soft teardrop
a faith drowned in despair
below a drenched rooftop:
nothing more
than a shelter hardcore.
So let it rain,
let it rain
slowly onto this heavy pain,
‘cause my soul can’t restrain
under
this silent thunder
no more
inside a shelter hardcore.
